Short Bio:

My parents met while they were in a boatyard in Florida. My father was a captain of a beautiful wooden schooner and my mother was working on boats, doing the finish work. They fell in love and sailed away into the sunset together, and this is a true story. Although I was almost born in the Bahamas, my mother made it back to the my father's house in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and so I was born a Bluenoser. With parents like mine, it is no wonder that I spent much of my childhood traveling and living in other countries. I have lived in the United States (where I also have citizenship), in Carriacou (a small island in the Grenadines belonging to Grenada), and in Québec, where I went to boarding school.

I returned to Nova Scotia to begin high school and since then have only spent short stints in other countries. I spent a few months in Los Angeles doing an internship at Robert Greenwald Productions while doing my Journalism degree, I worked in Mallorca, Spain, for two months and traveled often to Montréal and to the States.

I dreamt of being a journalist, but after finishing my Journalism degree, returned to work in the film industry again, and stayed in that industry for the next few years before deciding to go to law school. Now I play around with cameras and volunteer to shoot and edit short video pieces when I can. I have fun doing this and truly enjoy it, and it also keeps me learning new skills to apply.
